As they develop new skills and education policies, the Labour Government has started to launch a number of reviews and consultations. It is essential that the needs of employers are heard.

Included in the upcoming reviews are:

• curriculum and assessment review

• level 3 qualification review

• growth & skills levy consultation

The Chambers of Commerce, through the Lancashire LSIP, want to give the opportunity to our local employers to have their say on proposals and say what they need. While the LSIP has dealt so far with local priorities this is an opportunity to help shape national policy.

The LSIP will be running a number of sector specific roundtables to gather the opinions of employers ahead of a submission. This session will give employers across all sectors the opportunity to share the needs of their industry.

30th Oct - Manufacturing & Engineering

4th Nov - Health & Social Care

5th Nov - Construction

6th Nov - Transport & Distribution

7th Nov - Catering & Hospitality

13th Nov - Cross-sector

These meeting will be online and a briefing document will be sent beforehand, as well as an update given on the day. If you are unable to join us but would still like to contribute, please get in touch to arrange a one-to-one call - geoffm@lancashirelsip.co.uk.
