If you already employ young people with a learning disability or would like to know more about doing so, there are two events coming up that will be of interest.

Employer Champion Training, Tuesday 17th September

If you manage or mentor young people with a learning disability or autism or both and are passionate about changing people's views of the contribution that they can make to the workplace then this course is for you! You will attend a CPD accredited course and join a growing network of business people who want to make a difference to a longstanding social injustice!

You will discover:

·         What is a supported internship? (Linked to national guidance and Quality Framework)

·         How to present the business case for supported internships

·         Strategies to engage other employers and teach them what you know

·         How to present about supported internships at business events

·         How to develop your networking skills

·         How to create long term relationships with other businesses on this topic

·         How you can galvanise your sector to be at the forefront of change!

Autism Awareness Training, Friday 18th October

Join us as we myth-bust through some of the common misconceptions when it comes to autism. Learn about how reasonable adjustments in the workplace, as well as how to aid someone who may need clear and concise information. This event is particularly exciting, as it is not only being delivered by Cloverleaf Advocacy, but also from someone with lived experience and their own story.
